Jason Haam presents Karma II, a group exhibition at Carlos/Ishikawa Unit 7, as part of Condo London 2025—a collaborative exhibition spanning 49 galleries across 22 spaces in London. On view at Unit 7, the presentation will feature works by Jihyoung Han, Jungwook Kim, and Mike Lee. The exhibitions will run from January 18 to February 15, 2025. Concurrently, Moka Lee will have a solo show at Carlos/Ishikawa’s main space, independently organized and operated by Carlos/Ishikawa.

At No. 9 Cork Street, Jason Haam presents Karma II, featuring four celebrated Korean artists: Jihyoung Han, Jungwook Kim, Mike Lee, and Moka Lee. This exhibition will be on view from January 31 to February 15, 2025, on the ground floor of No. 9 Cork Street, London. This will be the third presentation at 9 Cork Street, following ones in 2022 and 2023. This exhibition is generously sponsored by the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS) with a mission to introduce Korean artistic talents in London.

Jihyoung Han (b. 1994) and Moka Lee (b. 1996) are formidable young voices in contemporary Korean art, representing a generation with distinct perspectives and original expressions. Their works resonate with themes reflective of contemporary aesthetics, offering fresh insights into their cultural identity and artistic exploration. Steeped in tradition of oriental ink painting, Jungwook Kim (b. 1970) explores a complex interplay between physical, conceptual, and transcendental realities, using the cosmos as a unifying theme. Mike Lee (b. 1983), a second-generation Korean American artist, creates works that deeply reflect his cultural heritage while asserting a contemporary visual language, uniquely his own.

Condo London은 런던 전역의 22개 갤러리가 런던 외 지역에 위치한 국내외 26개 갤러리를 초청하여 총 49개의 전시를 여는 협동 전시 프로젝트이며, 제이슨함은 Carlos/Ishikawa의 초청을 받아 해당 갤러리의 별관(Unit 7)에서 한지형, 김정욱, 마이크 리 작가의 그룹전 Karma II를 개최합니다. 동시에 Carlos/Ishikawa의 본관(Unit 4)에서는 이목하 작가의 개인전 Face ID가 열립니다. 이는 제이슨함의 그룹전과는 무관하며, Carlos/Ishikawa가 주최합니다.

런던 메이페어(Mayfair)에 위치한 No. 9 Cork Street에서는 1월 31일(금)부터 2월 15일(토)까지 한지형, 김정욱, 마이크 리, 이목하 작가의 그룹전 Karma II가 열립니다. 이번 전시는 제이슨함이 2022년과 2023년에 이어 No. 9 Cork Street에서 개최하는 세 번째 전시로, Condo London 2025의 Karma II와 함께 런던의 두 지역에서 진행되는 하나의 전시입니다. 특히, No. 9 Cork Street에서 열리는 본 전시는 ‘한국미술 유통업 국제화: 2024-2025 국내 유통업 해외 전시 및 프리뷰 지원’ 사업의 일환으로, 문화체육관광부와 예술경영지원센터의 후원을 받아 진행됩니다.

한지형(b. 1994)과 이목하(b. 1996)는 독창적인 표현과 뚜렷한 관점을 가진, 동시대 한국 미술계에서 주목받고 있는 젊은 작가입니다. 이들의 작품은 동시대 미학을 반영하는 주제를 담고 있으며, 이를 통해 그들 세대의 문화적 정체성과 예술적 탐구에 대한 신선한 관점을 제시합니다. 김정욱(b. 1970)은 여성 동양화 작가로, '우주'라는 주제를 통해 물리적, 관념적, 초월적 세계가 얽혀 있는 복합적 실재를 표현합니다. 마이크 리(b. 1983)는 재미교포 2세로, 한국과 미국이라는 두 문화의 경계에서 형성된 정체성을 바탕으로 독창적인 시각 언어를 작품에 담아냅니다.
